2025
PAPER
2SKIN
2025 marks the launch of the new paper-based packaging solution called Paper2Skin.
Once again, a groundbreaking innovation in the packaging world: for the first time, a top film composed primarily of paper is used for skin packaging, achieving the goal of creating a fully paper-recyclable pack.

2019
PAPER
SEAL
Continuing its exploration of paper-based materials in food packaging, the company decided to invest in new machinery for the production of trays suitable for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and skin packaging. In a later development, these same trays became available for thermal treatments in both conventional ovens and microwave ovens.

2018
FAERCH
In 2018, following an agreement with the Danish company Faerch, we began the authorized distribution of PET trays — the only truly recyclable polymer that can be reused in the production of food-grade trays. Made from recycled materials and fully recyclable themselves, these trays clearly respond to the growing consumer demand for plastic reuse. We also introduced C-PET trays, suitable for reheating ready meals.

2016
SLIM
FRESH
In response to growing market demands for recyclability and sustainability, the first packaging solutions combining paper with a thin layer of polymer film were developed for “Skin” packaging of meat, cheese, and fish. This marked a true revolution — one that continues to expand rapidly on a global scale.

1998
CONSTITUTION
GB BERNUCCI
In 1998, following the transfer of a business unit from the company Bernucci & Sforza S.p.A., GB Bernucci S.p.A. was established in Milan, wholly owned by the Bernucci family. From that moment on, the company focused exclusively on food packaging, with particular attention to the protein sector and the emerging ready-meal market.

1975
SEALED AIR®
CRYOVAC®
The first shrink bags for packaging, produced in the United States, appeared on the market. This groundbreaking innovation made it possible to extend the shelf life of meat products in ways that had previously been unimaginable. With great foresight, the company secured distribution rights and began its journey toward specialization in food packaging. In the following years, new products were added to meet the market’s growing demand for advanced packaging solutions.

1970
PRODUCTION
ELASTIC NETTINGS
Another small revolution. In 1970, the first elastic net for packaging meat and cured meats was introduced to the market as an alternative to traditional twine.
Production began at the Fino Mornasco facility, which is still active today. In the following years, production of elastic fabric casings was also implemented.

1946
TRADITION
Enzo, Renato, and Giorgio Bernucci founded the company Enzo Bernucci e F.lli on June 10, 1946, in Milan, shortly after the end of World War II.
At first, the company specialized in twine and ropes used for tying cured meats and for general packaging needs. It also introduced some of the first revolutionary products of the time — including the adhesive tape, a brand-new innovation.
